Solar Electricity (PV)
Solar electricity systems capture the sun's energy using photovoltaic (PV) cells. The cells convert the sunlight into electricity, which can be used to run household appliances and lighting.
PV cells are panels you can attach to your roof or walls. Each cell is made from one or two layers of semi conducting material, usually silicon. When light shines on the cell it creates an electric field across the layers. The stronger the sunshine, the more electricity is produced.

Starting in April 2010, the UK Government will launch its Feed-in Tariff (FITS) scheme. Also known as the Clean Energy Cash Back scheme, the policy means you will be paid by the Government for all the renewable energy you produce.

How it works?
The heater warms the water inside the radiator and the mini-pump silently circulates the heated water around inside. The in-built air thermostat then intelligently senses the room temperature and the radiator immediately responds. As the room reaches the desired room temperature, the heater stops drawing electricity.
